GAP Package Polenta

The Polenta package provides methods to compute polycyclic presentations of matrix groups (finite or infinite). As a by-product, this package gives some functionality to compute certain module series for modules of solvable groups. For example, if G is a rational polycyclic matrix group, then we can compute the radical series of the natural Q[G]-module Q^d.

The current version of this package is version 1.3.10, released on 2022-03-29. For more information, please refer to the package manual. There is also a README file.

Dependencies

This package requires GAP version >= 4.7

The following other GAP packages are needed:

• polycyclic 2.10.1
• alnuth 2.2.3
• radiroot 2.4

The following additional GAP packages are not required, but suggested:

• aclib 1.0
